(This report from Sara Jean Fisk tells of the effect of blessing in a Raleigh, NC restaurant where a Bible prophecy study group called Issachar Forum: A Prophetic Think Tank meets each week.)
Issachar Forum meets now Sunday evenings at a burger joint called Fuddrucker's. The two managers stated that they just love our group meeting there.
One day, a friend and I stopped by Fudd's for a hamburger in the middle of the week. One of the managers came over to chit chat for a few minutes. He told us that he had only come on board at Fuddrucker's as a manager just about 3 months ago and it was really hard. Since we had been coming on a regular basis on Sunday nights he said "business had picked up".
I mentioned that we were praying for them all there and for the business to be blessed. He further excitedly told us that he could tell that we were praying because not only had business picked up but the "whole atmosphere of the place had changed". He said it had become a real joy to work there now.
This is a testimony of the wonders of transformation when Jesus is invited to invade a place. We realize it is one thing to say bless you and another to show it. We tip extremely liberally: Our waiter or waitress, at times the cook, the cash register ringer upper, etc. We not only talk the talk of the love of Jesus, we actually show it. And it shows. Everyone is smiling and so happy to see us arrive on Sunday nights.
It truly blesses our hearts to be a blessing to their hearts and lives; one restaurant at a time. To Jesus be the glory and praise. Amen.
